"Monster update" slang for "Huge Update" Has nothing to do with the monsters (though the skill changed should affect them too)

In other words, my faith has been restored in ANet, and I do believe I'll be playing again. Good job ANet, good job.

Lol Arky - haven't seen you this excited since you thought someone had cookies in their pants! - I feel the same way though! Great update!

Its so very late, and I dont think they nerfed it enough, but at least Ursan as the only way to play the game with a human group might fade a little.

Your point is that providing more modes of gameplay will be "fun for more people" while at the cost of having the game remain meaningful. It's why a puzzle mode for GW never existed, or an Adventure no-action mode wasn't implemented for God of War, or why Valve didn't allow for HL2 to be played in a turn-based strategy grid. The more "gameplay modes" you provide the worse the game becomes, unless you can honestly prove to me how making Guild Wars playthroughable as a racer would be a good idea (hint: you won't).
The only thing these skills are providing is an easier time through hard mode, which is pointless since you can see the exact same everything through normal mode sans the challenge, and if you didn't want the challenge then you'd just be playing in normal mode. Hence, pointlessness.
You will not be able to prove how these skills make the game "better" because you'll have a hard time defending cheat codes.
And likewise, as it looks, you'll also be having a hard time stating how UB was "buffed".

Well, let's see. ANet ignored the majority and nerfed the most imbalanced thing that ever happened to PvE, and updated a shit load of unused skills. I'm perfectly happy with this ANet, and I believe they did a great job (wow, haven't said that in ages).

No, izzy once again tried to fight power creep (ursan) with more power creep (today's update). This theory of his has failed since nf.

Things I'm concerned about:
Way of the Master (wtf, this is screaming to be abused with /D or /P secondary)
Master of Magic (seriously wtf)
Quivering Blade (5a dazed?)
Things I'm concerned about but for a different reason:
Melandru's Shot (fine on 5s recharge, I'm not waiting 10s between cripples)
Extend Conditions (elite Epidemic? nothnx)
Things that are just lol:
Ebon Vanguard Sniper Support
Things ANet did a good job on:
GvG
Ursan

Every high level area has always been build-based, something will replace Ursan and you'll be required to conform to get a group. It's just the bland nature of the game.

Nothing is as imbalanced as ursan was, and ursan is nerfed. In the end, he did was people wanted him to do - nerf ursan. Sure, it's not perfect, but at least it's something.

Okay, some math for everybody going "ebon sniper support is amazing."
It really isn't.
90 damage every 15 seconds plus 10% chance of +900 is the same (through repeated uses) as 90 damage every second plus +90 damage 100% of the time. In short term situations, you might get several +900 hits in a row that do really well. But over the long term DPS of say, a dungeon run, 180 damage (that doesn't ignore armor) every 15 seconds isn't that big of a deal. In comparison, the old Ursan was 150 damage every 4 seconds.
It really isn't THAT powerful enough to be worth echoing if you think about it long enough.

This update fracking shafted dervs, we got 3 elite "buffs" and they were more of sorry piss- #%% excuses for making it look like anet gives a care.
I'm emailing my complaint, along with my formal denounciation of any other game they produce. Goodbye.

1. At least you will have to use 8 skills again.
2. At least you will play a role on the team that corresponds with the profession you have chosen to play.
3. Anything that allows for more than 3 monks and 5 UB's are better in my book.
